VB.NET obfuscated output assembly fails on Windows 8 x64, but works on Win7, XP, etc

I am using Spices Obfuscator version 5.4.0.9.
Created a test VB application and obfuscated the output exe using Spices Obfuscator.
The obfuscated application successfully executes on Win XP x86/x64, Win 7 x86/x64, but fails to execute on Windows 8 x64.
Currently, I do not have a Windows 8 x86 installation, hence cannot provide its success/failure output.

The application is always executed using "Run as administrator".

An error event is logged in the Event Viewer:

Yes, please send us the obfuscation project and test application.
Please zip it and change extension of archive to .zap or .txt before attaching.

Uploaded the zip file as zap at:
https://www.hightail.com/download/bWJvblFFMVhxRTBPd3NUQw
The zip file contains the Release version of the exe file, and the obfuscator project file.
The "Output" folder contains the obfuscated exe file.

Thanks for the files, that was helpful.
Please try to use the latest version of Spices.Net Obfuscator (v5.8.4.4), there some problems with x64 assemblies and Win8 compatibility issues were already solved.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I already have a license for my existing version 5.4.0.9.
Should I upgrade the v5.4.0.9 with the latest available version?
Will my existing license work with the new version?

You can renew your subscription (that's 50% of regular price) and upgrade your v.5.4.0.9 to the latest version (information and links about subscription renewal you can find in your private zone (http://www.9rays.net/Account.aspx), Products section).
Yes, your license will work with the new version
