About licensing

Good morning

9rays said that activation licensing file is based on a fingerprint of the hardware.

Now, the questions are:

- does the fingerprint changes if an USB device is added or removed?

- does the fingerprint changes if a CD/DVD device is changed/added?

- does the fingerprint changes if a hard disk is removed?

- does the fingerprint changes if a hard disk is replaced?

- does the fingerprint changes if a hard disk is added?

- does the fingerprint changes if hardware memory changes?

- is the fingerprint of a virtual machine (i.e. VMWare) the same of the host machine?

- does the fingerprint changes if a router/modem is changed?

- is a new activation file to be required to 9rays in all the cases described above?

Thank you

Fingerpring is changes if :
1. First hard disk is removed or replaced.
2. Motherboard(or system BIOS), processor unit or videocard (or video BIOS) is changed.
3. Computer name account is changed.

- is a new activation file to be required to 9rays in all the cases described above?

for the cases described above new activation file required. You can send the new activation request from the Spices.Net app to receive new activation file.
We're allow to use purchased copy of Spices.Net in the home/work or desktop/laptop configurations, but for each of used machine activation is required.
