When there is nothing in the fly grid and it is focussed, if you press any key it will throw a null reference error (if there are items in it, then it jumps to the item closest alphabetically to the keys pressed).

What version of FlyGrid do you use?
I've tried the reproduce this problem with the latest version but FlyGrid works correctly.

The version of the NineRays.FlyGrid.dll is 1.4.2.2

I am using the grid as a tree view.

If you still can't reproduce it, give me an e-mail address that I can contact you on and I will give you access to the project that uses it.

I wondered why I hadn't had a reply. I sent you mail with a link a while back. I don't know why you didn't get it.

Anyway, you don't really need the sample. Simply focus a fly grid  that has some clickable, sortable columns, but with nothing in them, then press any key.

We've tried several times - but FlyGrid works correctly.
