FlyGrid horizontal \"jumping\". Bug?
Link Posted: 27-Feb-2007 10:35
We are having a problem with FlyGrid that we've been able to reproduce in the \"Grid stylizing, Multicolumnar dropdown...\" demo.  These steps will reproduce the problem:

1. Run the demo, Custom Draw field is all the way to the right.
2. Try to click into that column and the grid will jump horizontally as far to the left as it can and no cell has focus.
3. If you then try to click into the Password column, the grid will jump again this time to the left.  Again, no cell has focus.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?  Our product is in Beta release and we have clients complaining.

I downloaded the latest evaluation version of FlyGrid (V1.4.5.16979) and the behaviors described by Charles are still not fixed.

Charles Gilbert (the original poster of this issue) has contacted Victor several times in the past 4 weeks and we kept hearing promised that the problem is fixed \"in the next version\", or \"I cannot duplicate the problem\"...

As a Developer, I fully understand that you cannot fix the problem unless it can be reproduced. I would say the same thing to my customer as well. However, this problem can be reproduced easily with the FlyGrid demo software. Is there a difference between the demo application and what 9Rays actually looking at?

In the past we have received prompt and accurate support from 9Rays.

However, this issue has been dragged out for at least 3 months. The last version of FlyGrid that did not have these undesirable behaviors was way back in November 2006. We need to get this issue resolved ASAP because our clients cannot use FlyGrid productively with this problem.
