I am trying to install FlyGrid.NET on a Windows Vista computer under Visual Studio 2005, but get this error 'There is a problem with Windows Installer package. A program required for this install could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor'

Can the control be installed under Vista?

Yes, FlyGrid can be installed under Vista, probably you've no enough rights to install this package. We've tested FlyGrid on the Vista, and FlyGrid is compatible with this OS.
Please let me know what edition of Vista do you use?

I am logged in as a local administrator and version is Winows Vista Business.

Probably you've old MS Installer package version or incorrectly installed .Net Framework. I've rechecked installation and running FlyGrid on Vista Business - FlyGrid is installing and running correctly.

I ran the install from a cmd (DOS window, which was opened by using 'Run as Administrator) and then ran the isntall. It worked. Though I got this error at the end of the install, but it works:

Exception Package 'ToolBox Control  Installer Package' failed to load. StackTrace: at EnvDTE._DTEExecuteCommand(String CommandName, String CommandArgs) at 0.a.0(String[], String, String, Boolean)

Currently you can install FlyGrid manually - see the Installing FlyGrid.Net into Visual Studio Toolbox video-lesson.
