SelectNodeOnRightClick Problem
Link Posted: 17-Sep-2008 23:09
Hi,

I'm currently evaluating the treeview before purchasing and everything has been going perfectly so far however the SelectNodeOnRightClick functionality doesn't appear to be working.  Regardless of whether it is set to True or False, only the context menu is displayed, the node remains unselected.  Have I missed anything?

I'm currently using version 4.3.2.110 on RunTime version 2.0.50727 in VS 2008 .NET 3.5

Many Thanks,

Aaron

Hi.. Can anyone help with this or does anyone else have a similar issue?  I wan't to be able to raise a purchase order for this, but this is the only thing I need assistance on before I get my boss to sign.

Many Thanks,

Aaron

Aaron,

Yes, there was a bug. Thank you for your post.
We have a fixed version of the control, it will be available at Downloads in few hours.

Thanks again for you report.

Hi,

I've just downloaded and installed the new version of the control [4.3.5.8], after uninstalling the old version, but i'm getting some strange problems when running the page The following Javascript errors occur:

_f$4U is not defined
_f$5f is not defined

The treeview also populates the nodes ok, however none of the images are displayed.  It's also no possible to expand any of the nodes.

The same problem also occurs on the included demo pages, but with different JavaScript errors.

Thanks,

Aaron

Looks like you have older JS runtime cached in your browser.
Please click CTRL+F5 or delete browser cache.

Let me know if you still experience problems.

Hi,

I've cleared the cache in both Firefox and IE7m but the problem still persists in both browsers

Thanks,

Aaron

Aaron,

I'm not sure why it happens. But to test the issue, I've just installed FlyTreeView for ASP.NET v4.3.5.8, opened C# demo app, and started http://localhost:4549/cs/Demo_Office2003.aspx.

Do not get any JS problems in both IE and FF.

Also, do you get any errors when browsing online demos at:
http://www.9rays.net/asp.net_2/treeview/Demo_Office2003.aspx ?

Strange... I don't get any errors on http://www.9rays.net/asp.net_2/treeview/Demo_Office2003.aspx.

I'll do a reinstallation of the control and see how that goes.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi,

The reinstallation didn't work,  I also have installed the control on a colleagues PC and the same problem occurs there.  He hasn't installed the control until now.

I've reverted back to version v4.3.2.110 which works fine (except for the problem I originally reported)

Thanks,

Aaron
