Spices.Net Suite 5.1 Offers New & Enhanced Capabilities to Build More Secure .NET Framework-based Applications, Facilitate Research, and Improve IT Productivity
Alexandria, Virginia - November 10, 2006: 9Rays.Net has announced Spices.Net Suite 5.1, a suite of tools that provides .NET developers with an all-in-one solution to improve architecture and quality of .NET assemblies, facilitate their analysis, optimize and protect them from reverse engineering while making them smaller and more efficient. Version 5.1 fully supports x64 architecture and delivers a host of other new features and improvements to help developers secure their intellectual property assets and produce more efficient .NET applications.
Spices.Net Suite has been evolving over the last four years and has seen many technological improvements. Version 5.1 extends the product functionality with complementary capabilities that provide the following key benefits:
- Improved platform compatibility through full support for x64 architecture. New Spices.Net Suite is prepared to run under Microsoft Vista.
- Integration of Spices.Obfuscator into the build process. New Spices.Obfuscator fully supports MSBuild, which allows for easy integration of obfuscation into the build process. To help developers in getting started with it, version 5.1 includes a set of C# samples that demonstrate how to integrate Spices.Obfuscator into your build-solutions.
- More reliable protection of .NET assemblies through the use of new patent pending technologies that protect the source code from analysis and decompilation. For example, Spices.Anonymizer technology makes it a way harder for a hacker to research code and find vulnerabilities. The best in this technology is that it has a little impact on the efficiency of the code, flexibility in configuration, and offers several levels of protection. Another technology, StringEncryption, offers several security levels from removing strings from the code to encrypting them by using the TripleDes algorithm. The code, responsible for encryption, can be made anonymous in order to make methods unrecognizable for a decompilation program.
- Optimization by size and productivity. Spices.Obfuscator allows you to reduce the size of metadata in an assembly by 50%. Reduced size results in faster assembly initialization and increased productivity. What's more, some methods used in Spices.Optimizer make assembly research and ILDASM/ILASM roundtrip much more difficult.
- Enhanced capabilities for analysis, browsing and search. The specialties of Spices.Obfuscator are not restricted to protection only. It also has extra tools for analysis, browsing and verification of assemblies. The package includes a disassembler, an analyzer of graph queries, inheritance and interface implementation. When viewing the assembly members, the user can get full context information about the current assembly member, execute a search by name, or token. The package also includes the tools for low-level browsing and metadata analysis from the structure of a metadata table to the structure of a PE-file (portable executable format). Graph tools will demonstrate various relations between assemblies and their members.
- Increased learning efficiency through a set of video tutorials that let developers quickly learn the product and utilize the power of its tools. Tutorials reveal the potential of Spices.Net's services in the informative and clear manner. Video can be effectively used by training centers in the preparation of specialists, experts and .NET developers.
